So today I checked my email and I have officially been accepted into my England University!!! Oh wait, did I forget to mention that technically I hadn't been accepted yet? Well let me backtrack. So in February when I applied for my student exchange program, apparently I was applying for my school to NOMINATE me to the host university. Yea, no one told me that. I thought when I got accepted that....you know, I got ACCEPTED. That I was done. But no I had to then apply to the host university which, by the way, was really quick since most of my information they could get from my University from my first application. Plus my Education Abroad adviser told me that they generally accept any student my school nominates because they're like...exchange/study abroad partners...or something. I hope I'm making sense.
Anyway, it took like 10 minutes and, as mentioned earlier, today I received my official acceptance email from the school. So I'm on track for England and couldn't be happier! Now I need to figure out how the hell to apply for a student visa. And then there's the fact that I'm still waiting to hear back from all the scholarships I applied to. Goal is $5000.
I also wanna apologize in advance to you, my most likely SOLE reader, because I know that this blog is going to be DEAD boring this summer. It's kind of hard to write posts about being a brit for a while when...I'm, you know, umm...not even there yet. So it'll probably include posts about visas and scholarships and just plain anxiety about moving to England in general. So just hang in there kiddo, I promise it'll get better.
Or not, idk but i'll try!
